We first started purchasing direct from the Menendez Family in El Salvador six years ago, and every year at harvest time we await with anticipation what the next season will bring. We’ve brought in coffees from their farm Las Delicias before, but never the two varieties of coffees we brought in from them this year. While we previously released their more exotic Peach variety, the second of these two coffees is a beautiful example of the flavor profile we’ve come to know and love from the Menendez family on any of their farms we’ve bought from. The Pacamara variety, a cross between the giant-beaned Maragogype variety and Pacas, has proven to produce exceptional coffee on many El Salvador farms. This year's Pacamara variety highlights the sweet-toned, rich, and balanced acidity that we love to find in El Salvador, and is a beautiful example of the Las Delicias terroir. Aside from the flavor profile, take note of the size difference of this coffee from any others present in our lineup.
We taste: Rich, creamy, green grape, plum, chocolate cake
