Ethiopia: Nensebo - 12oz

Regular price $22.00 SALE

The Sidama region, located in the southern part of Ethiopia, is known for producing diverse coffees with high clarity. The Werka Washing Station in the village of Nensebo is used by upwards of 800 farmers, each of whom grows coffee (along with false banana and corn plants) on an average of 3 hectares of land. This coffee was fermented under water for 48 hours before the mucilage was removed and the coffee dried on raised beds. The result is a wonderful example of a classic Ethiopian coffee.

We taste:  Lemon sorbet, clementine, jasmine tea.

Excellent

One of the finest Etheopian offerings I’ve had. In contrast to the other reviewer, I had not issue with the notes coming through. Made via Chemex and V60 and it shined. As it cools the lemon sorbet notes get more prominent. Outstanding, my favorite this year.

Notes aren't clear

I brewed this with my AeroPress and the taste profile was lacking. For the price I expected more complexity in the notes but I could only really pick out the jasmine tea.
