Description

Continuing our relationship with our friends at Finca Terrerito in Honduras, we’ve added on another farm in addition to the San Sebastian and La Unica offerings we typically bring in. We are excited to introduce this new coffee from Vianel Vasquez and Finca Pedernales.

From our partners:

Finca Pedernales is located in the steep mountains of Lempira, and what impressed us most was the care and attention to quality. Even with the farm being in such a remote area, the Finca T team was blown away with the infrastructure Vianel had installed. This includes a wet mill with fermentation tanks lined in ceramic, and raised drying beds kept in a covered greenhouse. Much of the farm is covered in mixed varieties of mature trees – which in the past few years have yielded a bright, floral and complex coffee with a flavor profile you would typically find in some washed Ethiopians.

Upon first introduction, we knew this 1,700-meter-high coffee farm was something special, and our farming team committed to forging a new relationship with these farmers intended to improve lives and yield extraordinary coffee.

We taste: Toffee, plum, green grape, peach skin

Single-Origin Details:

  • Farm/Producer: Vianel Vasquez
  • Region: Lempira, Honduras
  • Process: Washed
  • Variety: Mixed varieties
  • Elevation: 1,700 -2,100 MASL
  • Harvest: 2022/2023
