This batch was our most disappointing batch ever given how long we have been getting beans from Quills. These beans had that burn quality that you are simply like, this isn’t our norm but, what exactly happened at the same time. It’s two bags worth of burnt coffee and we are thrilled given the price.

An accidental discovery, and we keep revisiting it!

While on a (pre-COVID) road trip, my son and I happened to stop at a coffee shop that served Quills Coffee. I bought a couple of pounds to take home with me. One of the pounds was apparently mostly-forgettable; the other was Southern Gothic. It’s not always available; when we notice that it is, we order some! It’s one of the smoothest, most enjoyable coffees we’ve had.

Finally found MY coffee!
